Jordan of Arvada West High School | Class of 2025
Jordan’s senior portrait photoshoot for Arvada West High School was the perfect combination of urban and natural locations, giving him tons of variety in his final gallery.
We started in downtown Boulder, Colorado, with his first outfit being a suit. The suit vibed with the urban setting, and blue bowtie brought out his blue eyes. Some of the images in the suit turned are my favorite from the session.
I like to use some of the backstreets and alleyways of Boulder for senior pictures, in addition to the highly requested Pearl Street Mall. A red motorcycle happened to be in one of the alleyways, so we decided to use it!

Jordan’s second outfit was a striped shirt and jeans. This looked great with the flowers on Pearl Street and some white columns that we found.
Jordan knew about a building with a glass elevator, and wanted to take some shot there. I love that he had input for his senior picture experience. That always makes it more personal! We took some images inside, as there was a cool vibe, and we took the elevator to the top. Some rain came in just as we were photographing on a rooftop deck. We went with it and got some cool rainy shots. So unique for Colorado senior portraits!
What I love about urban photo sessions is that you never know what you're going to find. We took some reflection images with a window and played around with black and white. We also found a record store and a greek-style column.
We stopped by a stairway with a brick wall to get some basketball photos, as he plays basketball for Arvada West High School. I love the texture of metal and brick.
The skies cleared by the time we went to NCAR for more senior photos. The sun was streaming down in warm rays of light. We got the gorgeous backdrop of the Boulder mountains as well as sunflowers and a grassy meadow.
We also did a few more basketball shots! Sports + nature is always a fun combo for senior photos.
Jordan's senior portrait experience was an adventure, and his senior portraits turned out great! It was representative of what you can expect when you choose to book your senior experience with Five Parks Photography. It will be planned to reflect who you are. There will be elements of tradition, like head and shoulders shots that work great for the yearbook, as well as some spontaneity.
I absolutely love the photo book that we designed for him. He and his family will look back at it for years to come!

He plans to attend Colorado State University. Thank you for choosing Five Parks Photography for your Colorado senior portraits, Jordan!
