We are lucky to live in a market saturated with photographers. This means that you will find pricing all across the board for 

portrait photography, and there is the opportunity for everyone to find a good fit. Many people own DSLR cameras and enjoy photography. You might have a                  (neighbor, aunt, friend, etc.) that enjoys photography as a hobby or on a part-time basis. But there is a lot that goes into a professional photography business beyond owning equipment.  ​A $100 photography session is going to differ from a $1000 session. 

 

Here are some things to look for when considering entrusting someone with capturing your precious moments. Does he or she have:

• Permits for a variety of coveted locations

• Years of technical experience with equipment (manual shooting, lens choice, lighting, angles, framing)

• Extensive knowledge in lighting any situation with natural or artificial light

• Experience connecting with high school-aged teens to help them feel comfortable and relaxed as well as with children to make it fun

• Insurance to protect all parties

• Knowledge and experience in guiding you to achieve natural-looking poses and expressions

• Professional editing software and gallery hosting

• Dual slot professional camera bodies to protect against memory card failure

• On and off-site file backup

• Location knowledge for the changing Colorado seasons 

• Relationships with professional print labs

• Nationally published images

• An established and trusted brand

​Session Fees

Session fees range from $175-250.

Products:

Following your photoshoot, we will get together to view your proof gallery. At that time, you will choose your heirloom-quality products, such as albums and wall art.

Wall art and print collections begin in the $500 range, albums start in the $1100 range and packages begin at $1,495. I offer payment plans.

*Some locations, such as the Denver Botanic Gardens, Red Rocks Amphitheater and others require advance planning and additional charges for a day permit. Many locations are included in the yearly permits that I maintain.
